Companyprofile

Harry Vloet BV is a true family business. In 1946, Harry Vloet founded a trading company in Nijmegen, focusing on selling used cars and trucks.

The company, which moved to Molenhoek (Mook) as early as 1953, became a household name throughout the Netherlands because of its size as early as the 1950s and 1960s. During this time, thousands of used cars and trucks found their way from Molenhoek to new owners; from Groningen to Vlissingen; from Den Helder to Maastricht.

After the sudden death of founder Harry Vloet in 1969, the company was continued by his son Willem (Wim) Vloet, who was assisted by his two brothers-in-law. Due to the rapidly growing competition in the used car trade in the Netherlands, this new generation soon decided to run down the stock of cars and specialise in the export of used trucks and construction machinery. To meet the high demand for used truck parts for export, more and more trucks were dismantled in the 1970s and 1980s, which would eventually become one of the company's main activities.

Over the years, the Molenhoek location became too small. So in 1993, an entirely new and very modern truck trading and dismantling centre of some 16,500 m2 on the 'Korendal' industrial estate in Mook was commissioned.

From here, Harry Vloet BV exports its used trucks, parts and construction machinery mainly to countries in Eastern Europe, Africa, South America and the Middle and Far East. With more than 75 years of experience, the management of our family business Harry Vloet BV is now in the hands of the third generation: Willem Vloet (jr) and another grandson of our founder Harry Vloet: Mr Harry van den Berk. With this management team, Harry Vloet BV is ready for the future to continue to meet the global demand for used material.
